Is the key binding in the new ignition cylinder perhaps? How about the components in the steering column, any reason they could be binding? What was the purpose of replacing the key cylinder in the first place?
The key ignition was replaced due to the Lack of communication. Two issues; 1. inserting the key will not turn at all and key isn't binding. 2. the key turns starting my truck. When turning ignition off, key only turns only one click to ACC position and key is binded but I can start the truck back on again. The problem isn't the ignition. When I move shifter out of park then shift back to park leaning shifter slightly to the right. Doing this sometimes key will turn completely off and can be removed. I was told sticky liquid may have been spilt and leaked into shifter gears. Hope my explanation is understandable. Do you have knowledge of others having this problem?
