IS COMPRESSOR LOCATED ON BACK OR TOP OF ENGINE

Before you try to replace it your self read this that I found on here. https://repairpal.com/estimator/ac-compressor-replacement-cost There is a lot more involved to replacing the compressor than say your alternator. It should be on the front of the engine. try looking for a belt diagram under your hood. It is belt driven so that will give you a location. THANKS BIG01! MY A/C QUIT ON ME YESTERDAY! MY BROTHER SAID HE COULD REPLACE IT IF I BOUGHT THE COMPRESSOR, BUT ONLY IF THE COMPRESSOR WAS ON THE TOP OF THE ENGINE, AND NOT THE BOTTOM! SO, HOPEFULLY THIS IS WHERE HE CAN FIX IT! THANKS AGAIN!
Your welcome. Remember that he might be able to replace it but he wont be able to make it work. When an a/c system has been opens it has to be put under vacuum with an a/c machine to suck all the air and moisture out. If air and moisture is left in the system it will destroy it from the inside out. So he might be able to remove and replace but you will still have to visit an a/c shop.
