I just put in a used steering column I hooked everything up I have the key the car won't even start why what do I have to do

Hello, The key and ignition lock cylinder from your old steering column should be put into the new steering column. Doing that, the various control modules will recognize your key. Otherwise, you could buy a new key, ready to program, and just follow the instructions that come with the key. A mobile locksmith could do this as well.
