I hit a curb sliding side ways. and both the front wheel and the back wheel on the driver side caved in. had just a family mechanic look at it and from what he can see he says it looks like the control arm and the rear bridge are broken.

I'd call your insurance company. Sounds like you are going to need control arm, strut, knuckle, wheel hub, bearing. Big money on a BMW.

I did the same to mine it is big money about 2 k in parts alone had to replace sub frame all the independent linkage in the left rear, hub and spindle, rim, axle shaft, and a control arm in the front I did all the work myself so saved a buttload of cash there but your wallet will be much lighter either way.
