It seems to happen more in hot weather and when it happens it jerks and is sluggish . My local repair shop is first rate and they have had a hard time identifying the issue. I have had a tune-up and replaced two fuel injectors twice. The diagnostic codes that sometime come up don't make sense according to the repair shop .

Dude mine has been doing that for a year now and today, I finally just got a possible answer. Autozone hooked up to my truck and there computer said the Camshaft Position Sensor is bad. It cost $28.99 there. I have had trouble with the temperature light coming on and the truck jumping and being late on the accelerator. The check engine light comes on sometimes and never had any luck with them but today i did. I hope this is the problem but they said most likely the temperature sensor needs replaced also.
Check the harness at the PCM located in the engine bay, you could have grounding issues at any of the harness connections to the PCM... God I hate Chrysler.
Had the same problem with my Raider. At first it was under warranty. But they just kept telling me nothing wrong (because they were in the middle of selling the dealership), then told me they couldn't service it because they had to train mechanics after the sell of dealership done. After about a year and 3 more returns to repairs department, would get temporary fixes but would always go back to same problems. Mine also much worse in hot weather. Since warranty ran out, took to different mechanic because Mitsubishi didn't seem to now what they were doing. Got fuel pump replaced last month, now doing it again and this time was told I would have to take back to dealer to repair because it is the "PCM". Every time we have been told something different on cause of problem. VERY expensive pickup to own. Going to "repair" one more time and trade it.
