The screeching sounds like a slipping power steering belt. The ABS and VSC systems will have to scanned to see what codes need to be addressed. Sounds like the shop who did the tie-rod work knocked an ABS/VSC sensor loose.

It only happens. When I go a sharp left turn in I just got my ball joint fix
