I can get truck to roll off but want start with the key. Alright replaced the starter and gets to hot using a toggle switch

It want start other then rolling it off. And when I tried to hook up a toggle switch it gets to hot. So I kno its getting fire. I have also replaced the engine switch to. But still want start with the key.
What makes this problem better or worse?

I don't know what "rolling it off" means. You can't just replace the ignition switch and key cylinder with a toggle switch.
