humming sound between 55 74mph

i have a humming vibration from 55 to 74. sort of loud like when you hit rummble strips on side of the road? yesterday id figure i blow out exhaust , so getting on to northway i dropprd it to netural, and floored the gas , it hesitated reved some but sounded like it wanted to quit, and would not let me give it full hard pedal to what i call blow out the system.any one know what this is or could be ? is there a carbon filter or something i can do to stop this humming vibration? ive been out of work no money and i can use a mechanic any help would be greatly appreciated thank brian
