dash maintenance light is on, and car recently had the oil changed

Its a tricky procedure using the buttons on the right of the instrument cluster and getting the display first to read oil life. I bet someone on the Acurazine website has documented the procedure.
go to an Auto Zone or Advance store & for free they will put a machine on your car that will tell them the code that triggered the light. You need to know what it is since it could just be a mileage triggered light--time to change the oil, etc. OR it could be an emission system component which COULD be under warranty since the Gov required these systems, manufacturers were required to warranty them since they raised the price of a car substantially. Often the emission warranty is much longer than the "bumper to bumper " warranty-for example Nissan has 3yr-36 month bumper to bumper but 5yr-75k miles on emissions equipment.
