After replacing an ignition coil?
Hello, If you are replacing an ignition coil due to a P030X code, the 'X' representing a numerical value between 1-6, the code should automatically reset after a very short time of use. If not, there is likely another problem, or the coil was not the correct repair. You will need to scan the codes, see what is active and pending, and address those concerns. If you still have a misfire code as noted above, and you believe the problem is resolved, you can reset the code with nearly any OBD-II scanner. If the code returns, the repair was improper, and diagnosis should be achieved through testing.
