can not get new stud in from back in any position

Hello, did you remove the old stud? If not, you will likely need a cutting tool to cut a portion of the old stud off, as the shop manual directs this to be done to gain clearance. A new wheel stud should be shaped like a "D" -- meaning a flat spot is present to gain access and clearance to get it in the hub. There is scant clearance to do this. To maximize this clearance, you will need to loosen the wheel bearing / hub assembly mounting bolts evenly, which will give you an additional approximately 7 mm of access. It's a tight deal, and not easy to do on your own, but if you have the tools and the know how, it can be done. Good luck.
