how is the charcoal canister connected in a 1994 jeep wrangler 4 cylinder?

my charcoal canister is hooked up in 3 places. the side outlet is from the fuel tank. 2 out of the 3 outlets on the front r hooked up. the bottom outlet is plugged up by a cap. the middle outlet has a molded plastice tube that is connected to nothing and the top outlet is connected to the throttle body.
