Tighten to much and the nut snaped off

I have seen them break off, the stud is very thin. I have had to put a small nut on top the broken stud hold it with a small vise grips and put a spot of electric weld, the heat produced makes metal stud in the aluminum head expand a little enough to get it out of the head.
wanted to know how to fix or replace stud thank you for your help
