How do you disengage the shift lock?

What is your question?

I replaced a rear brake light bulb in the vehicle. I went to drive the vehicle but I could not shift the vehicle into drive unless I press down on the shift lock before I move the gear lever into drive.

The shift lock module is located behind the instrument cluster. Check fuse number 14 (10Amp) it supplies power to the neutral safety switch, Check fuse number 20 (10 Amp) it supplies power to the brake light switch, The red/green wire at the switch should be live when brake pedal is pressed or the brake light switch is bad. Check fuse 19 (10 Amp) it is also needed for the system to work properly.
