To Remove: 1) Remove or disconnect the following: a) Engine cover b) Air cleaner cover c) EVAP canister purge regulator valve from air duct both screws for air duct d) Crankcase breather line e) Crankcase breather hose at cylinder head cover f) Line on secondary air combination valve on cylinder head cover and heat shield g) Move secondary air line slightly to one side h) Ground wire i) Coil connectors 2) Move wiring clear 3) Pull out ignition coils 4) Release two retaining clips for top section of toothed belt guard 5) Loosen nuts on cylinder head cover and remove cylinder head cover To Install: 1) Replace gaskets and sealing rings 2) Replace cylinder head cover gaskets if damaged 3) Apply a small quantity of sealant to sides of joints on upper sealing surface of cylinder head 4) Install or connect the following: a) Cylinder head cover; torque nuts to 89 in-lbs (10 Nm) b) Top section of toothed, belt guard c) Ignition coils d) Coil connectors e) Ground wire f) Line on secondary air combination valve on cylinder head cover; torque to 89 in-lb (10 Nm) and heat shield g) Crankcase breather hose at cylinder head cover; torque to 89 in-lb (10 Nm) h) Crankcase breather line i) EVAP canister purge regulator valve from air duct both screws for air duct j) Air cleaner cover k) Engine cover
If can plainly see the valve cover then you should be able to replace it with basic hand tools. If you don't feel comfortable doing it then take to a pro. You'll save money in the long run.
