I'm in need of step by step directions on how to replace the water pump. And a list of what tools are needed

It is extremely important to have a repair manual for this. You need to remove the timing belt to replace the pump. Before you remove the belt, you have to set the crank and cam marks to a given position and make sure they won't move. You also have to compress the hydraulic belt tensioner. There are a big risk for engine damage if you are not completely sure what you are doing. I'd suggest to take the car to a shop and let them do it, the water pump / timing belt replacement is a lot cheaper then a valve job on this car.
