Adding refrigerant for the air conditioning system is something that many folks think will solve air conditioning problems. Whereas there's a tiny chance this could help, either 1) The system doesn't need it and something else is wrong, or 2) the system needs it because it has a leak that is allowing it to escape once again shortly after. You have to check for system pressures - high and low side, then you have a to check electrically to see if the system is working. You may discover a number of possible issues. Further, the climate control system inside the vehicle could be at fault -- you'll need to look at this too. If these suggestions are beyond the scope of your ability and on hand equipment, then indeed you may need to seek guidance from a local certified technician.
If the A/C stopped all at once it could be an electrical problem or a mechanical problem with the compressor. Was the system checked and was there any refrigerant in the system or did you just add some?
As Dave stated, there could be multiple causes of the AC System blowing hot air. Without the proper equipment and training it is even more difficult to diagnose.Should you need it properly diagnosed, give us a call to schedule an appointment so tat we can get your AC back in working order.
