What is your question?
My 2007 Ford Focus Z3 hatchback lock no longer works by the remote key lock/unlock. Have to use the key to manual open the hatchback. Order a latch assembly - but need to remove the key cylinder from the old latch assembly. How do you remove the key cylinder from the old latch assembly and replace it on the new latch assembly? Thank you.

If you bring the lock assembly into a locksmith they may do it for you quickly and cheaply. You may find instructions Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... Thank you for all those great suggestions. We found how to change over the lock cylinder in a Chilton manual. It was fairly easy to do and everything works. Thanks again. This is a very helpful site.
