Had thermostat replaced, now leaking oil. How much $ to find/fix oil leak?

A six inch puddle of oil is serious but unlikely to have been caused by replacing the thermostat. Cost to repair the leak will depend on what the oil leak cause is determined to be. Most shops would charge 45 minutes to an hour to determine what the leak may be. They may need to wash down the engine or add dye to trace the leak.
