GM passlock problems

What is your question?

My 2003 S10 is having passlock security problems. I have used the resistor trick and I have reset the security light but truck still doesn't run. After I soldered resistor into circuit truck actually cranked and ran for about 5 seconds, I tried 4 times and each time it would start and die. Now however, since I reset the light it no longer tries to start anymore. I thought the light going off was a good thing, I've had this truck in the shop and they reset the system, but it only lasted 3 days. Since then it wont run at all. This my only vehicle and is in excellent condition except for this. This will be my last GM product if I cant fix this. why would you market a system that fails leaving paying customers stranded every where. I am so frustrated.....Please help.
