It all depends on where it's leaking from. If it's a seal and you can replace it without removing the tank, then that's good, if not you may need to replace the tank. Find the leak first and make the determination then.

i have 1986 jaguare ,the gas tank was not leaking when i got it ,but i had fuel injector put in and when i picked my car up the tank was leaking and was told to use the reserve tank ,but some how gas is coming out of reserve tank back to other tank ,,help
