gas pedal stuck

What is your question?

Three days ago we were driving on the highway and the gas pedal stuck. The cruise control was not on. Applying the brake did not disengage it. It felt as it it just took off on its own. Then it released on its own. The carpet was not a factor. We are very concerned this could happen again. What could cause this?

Similar thing happened on my mothers Honda and we replaced the throttle cable and now its fine. I looked up your throttle cable for your pilot and its a dealer only item and sells for about $13 and any shop can handle this and you can locate a shop near you here http://repairpal.com/honda-repair-in-oakland-new-jersey Tell them what happened and have them diagnose and repair this properly
