Gas gauge stopped working after they did a fuel management recall on my car.

What is your question?

Just had the car in for recall of the fuel management system and when I got home the fuel gauge went to empty and all dashes showed on the computer. Is this something they did wrong and if so should I take it back to Volkswagen or is it entirely a different problem?

What makes this problem better or worse?

It seems to be intermittent
