Gas gauge

The gas gauge fluctuates from 1/2 tank to low on gas at stop signs.

This is hard to figure, the tank should have baffles in it to prevent the fuel from sloshing in the tank, which would cause the problem. It's possible that the fuel level sending unit in the tank is failing and giving you the erratic readings. If you think that the fuel level indicated by the gauge is wrong, it might be worth getting a diagnosis and an estimate from a GM specialist.
