fuel pump is not working right and the truck is not getting any power

whats wrong started the truck let it run then everthing shut off , so i took a pieces of wire and put in were you can test the fuel pump well it kicked on when u take the wire out it wont work i had the coil tested it was good i had take a relay and get it tested it was good put a new relay in so i got the fuss on the drivers side were the fuel pump relay is ate and took a teater and put it in the tester on the truck and hooked it to a ground turned the key on and the pump would kick on but the only way it will stya on is if you got it in there and grounded still wont starte but you will get fuel to the motor the only way it will starte is when you put gas throw the throtle body. please help
