Severe steering wheel shimmy at braking of 60 mph or greater. Also pretty severe pulling to the right on braking.
Replaced both right and left front lower control arms at a non dealer repair shop for $490.
Problem is 90% fixed. Some slightly warped rotors need repair, also need alignment will correct issue 100%. Brake pads only 50% worn.
Very happy with repair results.
I have this problem and have taken my care in several times. I have the jolt like it's going to take off by itself as well as I have had problems with a noise in turning sounds like the car hits something and a roaring sound at highway speed that is loud inside car, it shakes a little but I just repalced all tires and problem is not solved. Everytime I take the care in I ask them to check it out and they state there is nothing wrong. Now I have a clunk in my engine when you start it, and it stalls when I accelerate.
