Found rubber hose hanging, attached end is to center-left of rear axle...where should it be attached?

Differential vent hose - should be attached *high enough* to keep water out.

there is a little hole in the bottom of the bed.hose should have a little barb fitting on the end the goes into that hole under the bed.it is a vent tube for the rear differential.
