just recently ,like yesterday my car was idiling normal then when i came to a stop it was at fast idle ,i pulled over shut engine off then started it again and it was fine ,so today i disconnected the cruise control and the idle is normal thru all driving ranges what is causing the fast idle?

thanx for the answer but i am not savy when it comes to using tech tools so how do i repair it or can it be repaired ? or just replaced? is it pricey?
the idle air control is two scews and it has a plug conected,go buy the part its 80bucks then you can see what it looks like its going to be right in front of you on the throttle body,very easy to change
