How can I clean out a EGR valve? How can I tell if it is a good or bad EGR valve. The tester is still telling me the Evap and EGR is showen. But the check engine light is not on. Replaced the purge solenoid.

The EGR is a 5 wire electrically controlled valve the best way to test it is with a professional grade scan tool with bi-directional controls it actuates the EGR and then sensor data is read of the scan tool. There is not much you can do to test evap systems without a scan tool that can operate the solenoids to close the system and a scan tool to watch system vacuum decay. Many automotive repair shops have a machine that generates an inert non flammable low pressure smoke that looks similar to cigar smoke to look for larger vacuum leaks in the evap emission system.
Thank You for the information on both of my question's. I put a purge solenoid on the car last week and today put on a EGR. Engine light is still off, hopefully these 2 parts will work. Tomarrow, will be going to shop to have it checked again. I hope all good, so I can get it inspected on monday. Thanks Again.
