Died while driving about 40 mph. First thought was it ran out of fuel. Getting fuel and fire but making a popping sounds out the exhaust.

Thanks Pushrod will do. I'm a truck driver and it's at home with the wife and I got to get it going when I get back home.
Thanks Pushrod will look into that. Thought maybe the crank sensor. Was also told that GM didn't put very big of a wire to the ignition coil and could be a wire broken to it. Have my work cut out for me. Thanks again.
Well if it's getting fire to the plugs then it MIGHT BE a weak coil but not a broken wire .. Crank sensor is working ok as well .. Cracked dist cap (cross firing - popping from exhaust) is common and rotor replacement also good idea. .. Let me know how it turns out.
