I was driving when my car stopped the engine light came on and a messgae stated: Engine power reduction can you tell me what that mean and is my car underwarrenty when this gose out?

most likely it the mass air flow senor or a bad piston or a leak in the rad
check the owners manual. Its in there under the DIC section (drivers information center) i forget what it means but i think its the traction control. when you stomp it and squeel the tires or they spin too much the engine kills the throttle for 5 seconds.
my car done the same thing it is a sensor under the foot pedal took it to a garage did not fix it because they told me it may never happen again out of warranty also
Same thing happened to mine a couple weeks ago... took it to the shop the said the throttle body needed to be cleaned...125.00 later works great
