S10 parked for 2 years, started the engine monthly. Last week engine cranked slow and backfire during crank a couple of time. After engine started it was running rough, missing one cylinder, gave gas to bring RPM up and a ticking noise developed. Noise get louder as RPM goes up. Engine Service Light ON, Tech II scaner read code as "Engine Multiple Misfires" Did the misfire caused a lifter rod to bend?

sounds like lifter nose maybe should have changed oil beore starting if truck had set awhile change oil, fix misfire drive 100 miles or so and change oil again
