engine light is on... engine starts to miss at high RPM

My engine light is on ...the car runs like normal until the RPM get high. The engine runs very rough with power lose, and the engine light starts to blink. if I back of the gas paddle the shaking and the blinking light stops. I can still get it up to 80 just can't punch it.

What makes this problem better or worse?
