Engine light illuminated

It may or may not be ok to drive. Driving with some emission issues can result in damage to the catalytic converter, so the longer you wait to get it checked out the worse it can be. The light will normally flash when this is the case, but it's not 100%. If you get the diagnostic codes and post them we can give further advice.
