Recently have become aware of knocking noise coming from left (driver's) side of engine. Oil level is fine; no leaks or any other issues. when idleed up it stops, no loss of power, good oil pressure.

There is no known common concern or "easy fix" for a 3.0L OHV V6 engine knock. It could be that your lower end bearings are making noise due to lower oil pressure at idle, and that with more RPM comes more oil pressure to quiet them down. Change the engine oil and filter - easy and cheap thing that on an outside shot could make a difference. Other than that, I would have a base engine oil pressure test performed to see if that is lacking.
