There are so many differences from year to year that it would require someone with extensive knowledge of the Ford 4.2 liter engine and all of it's different configurations. I would have to go on the internet to research this as I am not a "Ford" interchangeability authority. there are many forums that could answer this question for you, Sorry.

Thank you for your response,I'm gonna go to the walking junk yard and pull couple of motors and see if the blocks are the same,I think no one has experimented with this,I been inspecting the engines without removing them and they seem pretty much the same,I have to look at the bell housing,I'll post back my findings on this.
