A engine hot a/c hot error message comes on. Then a week later my check engine light came on. My coolant is full the vehicle heat is working fine and the engine is not hot. I'm honestly think it's my ect sensor
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, yes, it could be an engine coolant temperature sensor if it is out of range on the high side causing your problem. But, until you actually effectively monitor and measure the data, you'll never know. Everything is a guess until test equipment is hooked up and data analyzed. Many things can cause an actual overheating engine condition, but if you're not seeing tell tale signs of overheating, then perhaps it's just a sensor concern. Good luck.
