engine light on. now failsafe engine mode. no air conditioning also. help!!!

The engine fail safe mode and no AC sounds like the engine temperature got too high. This can be for many different reasons - thermostat issue, cooling fan issue, air flow issue, coolant flow issue. Have a pressure test of your cooling system and a cooling system diagnosis, and at the same time, have the engine codes pulled and checked.
I remember my engine went into fail safe mode and wouldn't start or anything so I had it towed a hundred miles away to tulsa oklahoma at a dealer who works on jags. Big mistake they charged me a $1000.00 to unkink a wire under my battery! Been ok every since about 4 yrs ago ....
