Have 2017 BMW 530is, VIN - WBAJA5C35HG895098. Have read that there is a small battery that needs to be replaced when the i Emergency Call System Malfunction light came on stopping all data feedback from car operations.?
I saw a Youtube video that says that battery location can be behind the rear trunk panel, drivers side, or over the consul near the rearview mirror. However, depending on the model 530i, (MINE IS THE SPORT MODEL 530is) there are 2 P/N for the battery and they are different depending on the VIN #. Is this something a handyman mechanic can replace and how do I determine the correct battery and how do I access and install it?
The 2 battery numbers I have found -one over the headliner 84-102-447-710 and the trunk location battery number
is 84-109-297-787.
