el traction light on dash signifies what?

What is your question?

Everytime I start my 1997 e320 mercedes, (odo reads 100,650 miles)the "El Traction" message comes on the dash window accompanied by the circle lights for Abs and brakes. Since I am selling this car, I wonder what the least expensive way is to deal with this.

First you must scan the data to see what the issue is with the ABS system. Then you can estimate what the repair will be, but first and foremost you need to have the problem properly diagnosed.

Thank you for your response. How is 'scan the data' performed? Is that by computer? Do most mechanics have this diagnostic computer or just the dealerships? I agree that the problem must be properly diagnosed. Are the On board computers accurate to a high degree?--thanks again
