During rapid acceleration, engine stalls momentarily.

I had the same problem after getting my entire cluster (dash board) replaced because everything started to fail on the dash board. I kept feeling like I would stall after accelerating from a stop light in the middle of major traffic then just as I pulled to the right lane to exit I would accelerate again with no problem and all would be ok for a couple more days. It was my ignition switch in my steering wheel. Didn't make sense to me but once replaced it never happened again. My husbands cluster had to be replaced as well as his ignition switch in his 2004 Silverado Z71. Only difference was his was covered by recall.
