What is your question?
I closed my driver's side door and the electric window came off the track and slid down into the door. The motor is fine but I need to get the window back on track. Is that something I can do, do I need any special tools? Or, do I have to take it to a mechanic and pay a fortune? Thanks

The inside panel on the drivers door of your 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue may need to come off in order to see exactly what is wrong inside. Chances are the window regulator has failed and will require replacement. Please use the RepairPal estimator for find out what the cost would be to replace your window regulator, here is a link - https://repairpal.com/estimator/oldsmobile/intrigue
The cable Broke on the regulator. Remove the Negative (black) wire from the battery (5/16) Take the door panel off by removing two bolts Torx (T30) in the door pull area. You have to pry the unlock assembly from the rear end (close to rear of car end)to pop the assembly up and then pull back because there is a U shaped hook that keeps that end down (close to dash). There are electrical connectors to three places that have to be unsnapped. Study the switch and pry up while gently prying the side tabs for each, you can pry with the little flat screw drive from underneath to help lift each switch out. Not too deep if the power is still on or place black tape on the end of your screw driver. Last, behind the unlock hand lever there is a little panel that you pry from the bottom most of the way in (there is a small rectangle slot) to remove the #2 screw from behind. With that screw removed you can remove the cover plate slowly and remove the power lock switch harness. Now on to the door panel removal. Use a 1 inch firm putty knife and insert it between the door and the panel (slide your putty knife along and it will bump into each fasten point and you pry out). Pry the panel away from the door releasing the plastic stud bolt. Do this for all perimeter attaching points Lift up on the panel to pop it out of the window area, as you remove look at the area where the speaker is (if equiped) to make sure nothing is fastened it to the corner of the door. You may have to pry the cover off the speaker area. When the door panel is off there is a harness to the speaker that you have to disconnect before the panel is free. As long as you are mechanical enabled this is a simple repair. There is a plastic barior affixed to the door, slowly remove it from the tar adhesive starting at the bottom. Now you will see what has happended to the window (if it didn't break) this way you may have to just repair the Cable but usually you replace the regulator. It will be easier to access the repair and undo bolts if you slide the window verical, out of the compartment, placing it in a safe place. The window if intact is still attached to the raising bar (2) bolts. Be very careful when handling the glass because if you bump the edge against anything hard or strike it, it will explode. All parts can be purchased at U-pull kind of places or automotive wreckers. At U-pulls you can also practice what you need to do. For sixty dollars you can get all you need for the repairs. The dealers can sell the parts also but it gets cost prohibited.
