Hi, We purchased a 2011 Equinox. My wife is very short and can't reach the gas and break pedals easily, even after all seat adjustments. Is there anything we can do ? The dealer says they can't do anything and are now giving us a hard time returning it.

Always take your wife to test drive a car that she's going to be driving in the future. It's a relationship saver.
The dealership don't want to do anything due to liability and warranty. I work for an independent repair shop but we work on race cars on the side and do modifications like this for our customers. I would call go to an auto upholstery shop see if they had ideas about an alternative seat or modifications that could be done. I don't know how you would find a race shop in your area that would be interested in doing a modification to the pedals or seat that would allow you and your wife to drive the car and not devalue the vehicle.
