You will need to pull the drivers door panel and inspect internally. Some part of the lock system linkage seems to be off. For the left rear door, it is common that the latch fails from repeated attempts to try and open the door from the inside with the child lock engaged. However, you should still be able to open the door from the outside when unlocked.
