driver side wiper blade stopped working, passenger side works

What is your question?

while driving in rain, my left wiper blade moved all the way to the left and rested on the side view mirror, while the passenger side (right) blade kept working. What is the problem? is wiper motor bad? are there 2 wiper motors? one left and one right? pls help Mike email: michelg77x@gmail.com

The nut at the bottom of the wiper arm has probably come loose its going to be a simple fix. The nut attaches to the wiper spindle.
