Driver side window will not go up or down, how do I get it to go up

Hello, it can be super frustrating when your power windows will not go up or down! I'm sorry this is happening. There are a few causes to this concern. One is electrical, in that the switch will not activate the window motor. Another could be the motor not working due to an internal failure. Another reason would be a binding window regulator - the gears and cables that raise and lower the glass as driven by the motor. First, hit the window button and see if there is any noise from the motor and parts inside the door. If you hear noise or grinding, you may be able to hold the switch in the up position and manually pull on the glass upwards, helping it up. If you hear nothing at all, you may not be able to get the glass up without taking the door panel off and getting inside to see what is going on.
