Depends on the ticking. Some nominal valve train ticking is normal, some injector ticking is normal. Tapping or louder noises is not. Perhaps swing by a local shop to have a tech have a listen? Here is a directory of shops near you. http://repairpal.com/ford-repair-in-mansfield-texas
