Does my 2001 pt cruzier havre a transmission control switch or neutral safety

How many keys do you have? Have you tried all that have the 'rubber' grip on them? I have yet to check with a dealer , but seems to me they might be 'chipped'. Got a friend that had a problem , the 'spare key she gave me , started(cranked then stalled) the car about 6-8 times , then 'no-crank' at all , I was thinking the same thing , till she told me that a few years prior , they had the same problem. Got the daughters key , which was the one they normally used , and it started right up. Thanks for posting, now maybe i'll check with the dealer a little sooner!
