Do I need shop that has Smoke Machine to find exact leak in EVAP system?

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond! The EVAP diagnostic indicates "Large" Leak. Do you still think Smoke Machine? At $110 an hour for local independent Volvo shop I just wanted to make the best choice. My usual mechanic is $65. but it may take him more time etc. Any thoughts?

I personaly think evap leaks are the toughest to diagnose due the differant things that first have to be done to ut the systm in a sealed mode to do smoke test. This procedure varys with each make of car. As far has to whom you should take it too I cannot comment. It a matter of whom do you have trust and cofidence in.
