my cv shaft moves up and down in my differental and has a vibration when driving is my differental bad

Some drive train components have normal play in the cv shafts and axles, so without feeling it first hand it's hard to say whether it's normal or not. I would look at the cv joints and u-joints first before condemning a differential. Even better would be to have a mechanic give you an assessment of what the problem is.
